No Child Left Behind - A law with good intentions, but unfortunately the narrow focus on math, reading, and little else, may cause problems for some students. Also visit BaltimoreSchools.org.

Baltimore City Public School System

The Baltimore City Public School System (official name) has charge of the education for approximately 90,000 of Baltimore's school children. The Baltimore public school system maintains about 173 schools in all neighborhoods of our city.
*It is "interesting" to watch this LINK TO THE CEO's PAGE to see how often the "new" head of the school system chooses to communicate with the public via the Internet.
Two representative Baltimore public school Web sites are: Francis Scott Key Technology Magnet E/M School, which focuses on instructional technology; and The Baltimore City College, a high school with a strong liberal arts focus. There are many other public schools in Baltimore, but unfortunately, only very few have been provided with Web sites by the school system. A few other schools have created them on their own.
