The Gallery in Baltimore's Inner Harbor
The Gallery is conveniently located near the center of everything -- at the heart of the Inner Harbor and downtown baltimore. Once you have exhausted all of the local sightseeing -- Science Center, Aquarium, ESPN Zone, the Convention Center, Orioles Park at Camden Yards -- what's left? SHOPPING, of course. And this is the place to start.
Harborplace and The Gallery face each other across Pratt Street. They are also connected by a Skywalk, so youy don't have to worry about traffic, which can be daunting at rush hour. Milliions of peoplehave been here to shop- Baltimore style.
The Gallery is a four-story mecca for teh serious shopper. There are nationally known "classy" stores mixed in among some neat local "Maryland-Flavor" shops that will provide you with some gotta-have items.
When your appetite begins to bug you, just head up the escalator to the fourth floor food court. All shopping malls have a food court, right? Right, but this one also has a VIEW!
The only hassle you may have to put up with is parking - if you drive to get here. There are public parking garages all over the place, but they tend to fill up during the middle of the day. So, it may be best to arrive early or late. But, there is even a multi-level parking garage in The Gallery building. What many visitors do, to avoid parking hassles, is to stay in a downtown Baltimore hotel -- where everything is within walking distance.
